What Makes a “Best Place to Work”?
The Best Places to Work in Minnesota is a program run each year by The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. “The Best Places to Work survey measures key areas that make up an organization’s culture. These range from compensation and benefits to trust in senior leadership. The survey also measures the level of engagement exhibited by employees, known as employee engagement,” according to the program’s website.
Winners are chosen based on employee responses to the annual Best Places to Work survey, and are categorized by the size of their Minnesota workforce: extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large.
Wellington by the Numbers
Participating companies are given a score from 0-100 based on how their employees responded to the various survey questions. We are proud to say that Wellington scored an impressive overall score of 92.11 out of 100 on this year’s survey!
- 92% of our respondents agreed that “the senior leaders of the organization value people as their most important resource.”
- 92.31% of Wellington employees would classify themselves as “highly engaged,” which means they’re more likely to go the extra mile, advocate for the company, and stay longer.
- 90 comments: our employees had a lot to say about working at Wellington. The most common theme was that employees felt supported, trusted, and part of a team that actually cares.
- Family: the word best used to describe Wellington’s work environment
